Third Grade Spring Quarter Curriculum (Book Only)
This book contains step-by-step instructions for teaching children the Bible lessons, Bible truths, and memory verses. Activities in each lesson are designed to include all learning styles as well as to address the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of third through sixth graders. All song sheets, craft and activity pages, and take-home card pages are included in the lesson books.
During Spring Quarter, the lessons concentrate on Daniel (including Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego). Children are introduced to him as he is first taken into captivity and follow him through his life. The last episode occurs when Daniel is 80. Easter lessons focus on Jesus praying in the garden, the betrayal of Judas, Jesus’ death and resurrection. Once again, the life of a Christian hero of the faith is included. Children see how God prepared Brother Andrew for his call to smuggle Bibles into Communist countries.
For the Third Grade lessons, we encourage you, if at all possible, to provide enough copies of the International Children’s Bible® so that each child (or at least two or three sharing a book) may follow along as you read the lesson.
The Third Grade curriculum is also suitable for fourth, fifth, and sixth graders.
